Whew...what a week!

We had a great weekend! Saturday Al and I went to the ECU vs. Central Florida game and the weather was beautiful. Jason and Melissa (our tailgating partners from Clayton) came and brought little Riley. He is precious, and sooo tiny! See for your self...

Jackson stayed home with Grammy and Granddaddy and had a ball! They said he was a happy baby all day and only got fussy when he was hungry (just like his daddy I tell ya!) Here is a recent picture of him smiling at Al.
Sunday we went over to Shawn and Jason's for lunch.

It was a crowd (Shawn, Jason, Blaine, Al's parents, Aunt Trudy, Chad, Crystal and Aidan)! We just hung out and had pizza while Blaine (8months) and Aidan (1year) played with all the toys. They were having a blast while Jackson slept with Grandma and Aunt Trudy :) I can't wait 'til Jackson and Blaine can interact more! They are going to be best buds. We also got to see the progress and Shawn and Jason's house. Holy Moly...it's moving fast! Everything looks beautiful and I know they can't wait to move in the next few weeks. When we got home on Sunday we relaxed and watched a little football...and so did Jackson...

It's already been a busy week back at work with appointments and meetings one after the other. As always, we're just working for the weekend. Hopefully, we'll have a relaxing one! Only plans so far is Aimee and Grant's wedding on Sunday. Can't wait!

10 Weeks Old

Jackson is 10 weeks old today, and just had his 2 month appointment. Everything went well and the doc says he looks great! He weighs 13lbs 10oz (75th percentile) and is 23 inches long (50th percentile). My little man is growing so fast.

He took his shots like a champ! The first shot his did his infamous squished forhead, let out a quick WAH and then looked at me and grinned :), but the second shot he didn't like so much. After the nurse stuck him he looked up at me like 'I can't believe you let her do that to me again, mom.' It broke my heart, but he was fine. He cried for about 30 seconds until he caught a glimse of the movie Monster's Inc. playing on the TV. The whole time I was trying to change his diaper and put his clothes back on, he was staring at the TV. I thought the poor kid was going to give himself whiplash! Eh, whatever makes him happy, right?!?

Here is a quick little video of Jackson doing some tummy time this morning.

Can't wait for the weekend! 4 more days until more Pirate football!

HA!

All Smiles...

Busy Weekend!

Well it was another busy weekend for us. Friday night I went to a surprise party in Washington for Billy's 60th Birthday. Al had a long week and wanted to stay home with Jackson. It was his first night to be in charge of Jackson's bedtime routine, and he did wonderfully! He must have done something right - my little booger slept from 9p-7a again that night!

Saturday we had some friends over to watch the Pirates loose to the Tarheels (bah humbug!). My brother now has the braggin rights back, but it was fun while it lasted. The rest of Saturday night was pretty relaxing after a long day of football. Yesterday we met Shawn and Jason at church and then went back to Al's parents for lunch, baby snuggling and visiting. Jackson slept with his Grandma while our nephew Blaine giggled at his new Jack-in-the-box.

Another busy week ahead...
