Purple and Gold Day!

Today is the final day of spirit week at daycare! It's been a fun week!

Cheer for East Car'lina,
Cheer for old E.C.,
We know we're the finest,
Onward to victory! GO PIRATES!!!

Cheer for East Car'lina,
Cheer on for old E.C.,
Loyal and Bold,
we're the purple and gold,
WE ARE THE PIRATES OF E.C.U.!
HEY!

The week's festivities are ending with a parents luncheon at 11. I'm exiced to go see my little man again and to meet some of the other parents! It's already been a hectic morning. I rushed around getting everything ready (myself, Jackson, and the meatballs). I finally got out of the house a little earlier than usual so I would have plenty of time to drop Jackson off, help get things set up and to get to work. Everything was great until some ::cough:: ::cough:: jerk, pulled out in front of me this morning and slammed on breaks. Thank God we didn't hit him, but my meatballs (covered in BBQ sauce mind you) went EVERYWHERE! So back home we went to get things cleaned up. I was not happy, but Al helped me get all the BBQ sauce wiped up and Bella helped with the meatballs :). Hopefully this day gets better...

On another note...we are exicted to see all of our out-of-town friends this weekend. It's been a long time since we have seen most of them, and it will be great to hang out with all of them tomorrow.

Backwards Day

Poor little guy doesn't know if he's coming or going today. Good luck to the daycare ladies that will be changing all these infant's diapers today with their clothes on backwards!

Tomorrow is Purple and Gold day, and this weekend is homecoming! We are so excited and can't wait to see everyone!

Tacky Day

Today is the third day of spirit week at daycare. It's tacky day! I couldn't help but laugh as I got Jackson dressed this morning. I felt like such a bad mommy :(

He kept giggling and hiding in daddy's chest, as if to say he couldn't belive I had dressed him like this!

Just look at this face!

Red Shirt Day

Today is red shirt day! Despite his granddaddy being a State fan (booo!), Jackson surprisingly has just one red shirt. She here he is...in all his red shirt glory this morning. He is wearing his new pants today, too. You can't really tell in the pics, but they have little labs all over!

Ever since Sunday, Jackson has been facinated with grasping his tiny hands around his bottle. This morning I caught him actually holding it! Granted, it only lasted about 30 seconds, but still cute.

Tomorrow...tacky day!

Spirit Week

Today is the first day of Spirit Week in the infant classes at A Child's Place! I will be sure to post pictures each day this week, along with photos of the day.

Today is pajama day!

Jackson is definitely a morning baby. He is usually so happy in the mornings, laughing and cooing away. His usual wakeup time is between 7-7:30am. I can usually hear him 'talking' to himself of the monitor, so that's when I go in to get him. Well this morning, it was almost 8am and I had to wake him up so I could get him ready for the day. He was not happy with mommy! As soon as I turned his light on, he scrunched up his eyebrows and poked out his bottom lip :( He wasn't happy 'til he got his bottle (just like his daddy, leave him alone 'til you feed him :)

In other news, Jackson loves his johnny jump-up!

An Eventful Saturday!

We woke up this morning to an awfully warm house. Something was wrong with our A/C. Of all days this had to fall on a day when were we going to be doing a lot around the house. We are replacing our old appliances, so the guys from the Habitat for Humanity Restore came this morning to pick up our old stuff. We worked through the heat in the house to get everything cleaned up some after they left so we would be ready for the Lowe's delivery.

Then Al and I took Jackson to the pumpkin patch this morning with Shawn, Jason and Blaine. It was soooo cute. We are going to make this an annual tradition with the boys! We went to Briley's Farms where they have a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, hayrides, pony rides and a play ground.

We bought some beautiful new mums (purple and gold , of course) and a pumpkin!

The Lowe's delivery man was at the house when we got back. He got everything in and then Al got the installing. He and his dad worked in the hot house installing the dishwasher and microwave while his mom and I shopped for some more things for around the house. Bless their hearts! Luckily, the air conditioning man was able to fix the problem rather quickly. The kitchen looks great. I will post some pictures when we get our refrigerator in. It had to be special ordered so it'll be another week or two before everything is complete. I never knew refrigerators came in different heights (who'd a thunk it)!

It's been a great weekend and I'm looking forward to homecoming at church tomorrow!

12 Weeks Old

I can't believe Jackson is already 12 weeks old! In many ways, it seems like just yesterday he was born. It really is true what they say about how fast they grow. He amazes me more and more every day. I could just sit and watch him smile, laugh and coo all the time.

Jackson rolled over from back to belly and from belly to back a few times early on, but nothing consistent. It was probably just a fluke because it was so early. We are talking 2 weeks old. EEK!
Well over the last week he has seemed to master the belly to back roll. Unless he is propped up on his boppy pillow, he doesn't stay on his tummy long before rolling.
Here is a quick video to show it. Sorry it's sideways (I'll know better next time)!

So I scored some major deals online at The Children's Place and Crazy 8 (Gymboree's sister site that I just discovered...why didn't I know about this sooner?!?!?). I got my little man's Halloween costume, finally. My little monkey, is going to be a MONKEY! I can't wait. The package should be delivered tommorrow...EEEK! I'll post some pictures too.
